MUTXIKO Elkartea participated in the Parade of the Carnival in Hendaye.

Euskal Besta Hendaia

MUTXIKO participated in the parade of Euskal Jaia in Hendaye. In the morning, some dancers from Mutxiko Elkartea danced Ezpata Dantza in the mass.

From the 28th to the 31st August 

Participation for the 3rd time in the “Peebles Arts Festival”. Peebles (Scotland) is twin city with Hendaye.

MUTXIKO Elkartea was invited for the 3rd time to take part in the Arts Festival celebrated in this Scottish town.

The group offered a first performance at the Eastgate Theater, and a second performance at the Quadrangle.

27th September
Fête de la Corniche

This is a Festival that takes place in the seaside road. The road from Hendaye to St. Jean de Luz is closed and a big pic-nic is organised. Mutxiko animated the event.

11th October
Prentsaketa

The ”prentsaketa” or pressing of the apple is held every year in Hendaye, and they show how to press the apple for the making of cider, a very typical Basque drink. Mutxiko danced ” sagar-dantza” or dance of the apple, followed by Mutxikoak, and other popular dances.
