Mutxiko participated in the Dantzari Festa<\/strong> in Hernani, a town in Gipuzkoa. Mutxiko participated together with other groups from all the Basque Country: Ttarla (Hernani),\u00a0Goizaldi\u00a0(Donostia), \u00a0Eskola (Donostia),\u00a0Kemen (Irun),\u00a0Trebeska (Donostia),\u00a0Arkaitz (A\u00f1orga), Egoipar Meaka (Irun), Adurtza (Gasteiz), Arrizkugarri\u00a0 (Sestao),\u00a0Mikelaitz (Atarrabia), Garaztarrak (Donibane Garazi), Begiraleak ( Donibane Loitzune), Muskildi (Zuberoa) and Mutxiko (Hendaia).<\/p>\n

Among\u00a0the activities organised by the\u00a0townhall for the summer, Mutxiko performed a complete dance show in\u00a0Sokoburu,\u00a0Hendaye.<\/p>\n

Mutxiko offered a complete dance performance in the trinquet (small covered pilota court) in Ascain, as part of the summer activities programme of that town.<\/p>\n

San Francisco Basque Cultural Center<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before our trip to Jaialdi in Boise, we visited San Francisco and offered a peformance in the Basque Cultural Center.<\/p>\n

27 July to 1st August<\/strong><\/p>\n

JAIALDI 2010 (BOISE)<\/strong><\/p>\n

MUTXIKO ELKARTEA was the International Dancing Group invited to the\u00a0International Basque Cultural Festival 2010 held in Boise, Idaho, USA.\u00a0This important event known as JAIALDI is celebrated every 5 years thanks to the support and dedication of the Basque community in Boise. People from all over the United States and the world attend this festival, over 30,000 people attended Jaialdi 2010,\u00a0a five day festival. The Jaialdi, features spectacular cultural dances and musical exhibitions as well as sporting competitions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

MUTXIKO offered a performance in FESTARA,<\/strong> the big show of dance and music organised during Jaialdi.\u00a0 Other groups such us\u00a0Oinkari dancers, Txorimaloak and Trey McIntyre Project completed the FESTARA programme.<\/p>\n

MUTXIKO offered two performances in Jaialdi\u00b4s\u00a0Fairgrounds<\/strong>\u00a0together with more than a dozen music and dance groups from the United States.<\/p>\n

Thank you\u00a0JAIALDI for inviting MUTXIKO to this fantastic event, it was an amazing\u00a0experience for us!\u00a0 Gora Jaialdi, Gora Oinkari eta Gora Boiseko\u00a0Euzkaldunak\u00a0!<\/p>\n

F\u00eate de la Corniche<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>This is a Festival that takes place in the in\u00a0seaside road. The road going from Handaye to St. Jean de Luz is\u00a0closed and a big pic-nic is\u00a0organised. Mutxiko animated the event.<\/div>\n

9th October
\nPrentsaketa
\n<\/strong>The \u201dprentsaketa\u201d or pressing of the apple is held every year in Hendaye, and they show how to press the apple for the making of cider, a very typical Basque drink. Mutxiko danced \u201d sagar-dantza\u201d or dance of the apple, followed by Mutxikoak, and other popular dances.<\/p>\n
