Festival of the Butterflies<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mutxiko has taken part in the \u00ab\u00a0Festival of the Butterflies\u00a0\u00bb that has been organised in the benefit of the Charcot’s Syndrome\u00a0association that fights against the\u00a0sclerosis amyotrophic lateral. Many associations and personalities have participated in this festival.<\/p>\n

April 28th to 30th<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit to Viana do Castelo-Outeiro (Portugal)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to the\u00a0twinning agreement between Hendaye and Viana do Castelo (Portugal),\u00a0Mutxiko Elkartea was invited to\u00a0participate in the\u00a022nd Dance Festival\u00a0of Outeiro, a town in the Viana do Castelo county.\u00a0Along with this participation Mutxiko animated the streets of Viana do Castelo and had the chance\u00a0to\u00a0get to know\u00a0the cultural heritage of the area. The group\u00a0visited the Museum of the Traditional Costumes, the Museum of Bread, actively participated in\u00a0the town festival and\u00a0tasted the fantastic food\u00a0the\u00a0hostesses prepared . Our thanks to the Outeiro people for their warm welcome and for their kindness. Now we know why they say… Viana \u00e9 amor ( Viana is love).<\/p>\n

May 5th to 8th<\/strong><\/div>\n
Visit of Le\u00a0Cercle Celtique du Val d\u00b4Oust<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
Our friends from Le\u00a0Cercle Celtique du Val d’Oust de St. Caradec (Bretagne) payed us a visit to Hendaye; it is the third time both groups get together after the meetings in 2002 and 2004.<\/div>\n
Regarding dancing, both groups offered a dance and music performance in the Variet\u00e9s Theatre in Hendaye. Atharratzeko Dantzariak, another group from the Basque province\u00a0of Zuberoa,\u00a0joined us\u00a0for this performance.\u00a0\u00a0Another dance performance was offered by Le Cercle Celtique during the celebration of the \u00ab\u00a0Salon Nautique\u00a0\u00bb in Hendaye.<\/div>\n
Regarding leasure, member of both groups visited the Abbadia surroundings, the town of Pasaia, enjoyed a half-rainy pic-nic in Jaizkibel, and visited the town of Hondarribia.<\/div>\n
Regarding friendly lunches; Ola Cider House, Klink club and\u00a0the \u00ab\u00a0Txoko\u00a0\u00bb of\u00a0Mutxiko. Three days of Basque and Breton music, dance and songs. We have made\u00a0plenty of\u00a0toast !<\/div>\n

Sagarno eguna<\/strong><\/div>\n

Mutxiko took part in the Cider Day in Hendaye\u00a0( Sagarno Eguna). The group held a stand in where delicious \u00ab\u00a0pintxos\u00a0\u00bb were served.<\/div>\n

\nF\u00eate de la Corniche<\/b>
\n<\/strong>This is a Festival that takes place in the in\u00a0seaside road. The road going from Handaye to St. Jean de Luz is\u00a0closed and a big pic-nic is\u00a0organised. Mutxiko offered two performances.<\/div>\n

\nPressing of the Apple<\/b><\/div>\n

\n<\/b>A\u00a0<\/em>traditional day in which it is showed how do to the pressing of the apple in order to get the popular Basque Cider. Mutxiko entertained the event.<\/div>\n
